Today was a beautiful day for building bridges! We had to try span a gap of 30cm using only flour, water and strips of paper. Our bridges will be drying over the weekend. On Monday we are testing their strength!
Probably a method that would be SHUNNED by a real mathematician but HEY! It works! Doing the bunny hop to solve measurement! Today we learnt about a new type of processing- mixing and cooking. At least I can go into the baking business if teaching doesn't work out! We are learning about processing materials. Today we attempted to make glue from flour and water. The results should be interesting... On Friday we had some fun with the revision of fractions! We played a whole lot of practical games that helped us to consolidate what we have learnt, while having fun! |
