Our class wrote myths about greed. We planned for hours and then finally put out story books together. They were such wonderful stories that we arranged to read them to our Grade Rs.
Yesterday was our annual South Africa day! On this day we celebrate the rich diversity of cultures in South Africa. All the children dressed up in traditional cultural wear. We also did Zulu beading, tasted authentic South African foods and played skattejag. We also played traditional games. What do you get when you mix flour, water and paper? A whole lotta fun! (And a huge amount of mess!) Ps- happy birthday Joe! Mrs P pulled out BRAZIL from the lucky draw! We have had great fun decorating our passage in the theme. Mrs P did almost have a heart attack though, when yesterday one of the children (no names mentioned) tipped at ENTIRE ICE CREAM TUB of gold glitter all over the carpet and one of the girls. It looked like Christmas had come early! |
