Last week we did a practical lesson with 2D shapes. We had to see how many shapes we could make with four triangles.
We had lots of fun!

For the last few weeks, I've really tried to focus on improving our Afrikaans comprehension marks. I've tried to show the learners how to find answers in the text and then to write the answer in a full sentence. Tonight I was amazed at how well they were doing when I marked their work! Great job, 5P! Jet made it a bit difficult to mark though.... We have been learning about different kinds of animals, their diets and their habitats. Using this knowledge, the learners had to create their own imaginary animal and classify it according to what we have learnt. I was so proud of their work! They all really put a lot of effort into this task! Our 5P African county posters were beautiful! Most of the children put a lot of effort into researching their chosen country and found many interesting facts! Well done boys and girls! Last Monday we did our Afrikaans orals. The children spoke really well! I was super proud of them! Teacher's side note: I spoke to them about not reading their key cards. Otherwise it could just be another reading assessment. An oral is an assessment of how well they can speak. Key cards should only have important points, which remind them of what to say. |
